Peer Review Process
Mishkath adheres to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Every manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. The process normally takes approximately 3-4 months from submission to decision, depending on the extent of revisions required.
The Review Workflow

Submission
The author submits the manuscript electronically, with author-identifying information supplied separately from the blinded manuscript.

Initial Editorial Screening
The editors check the manuscript for scope, basic formatting, originality, research ethics, and removal of identifying information from the manuscript.

Double-Blind External Review
The manuscript is reviewed by at least two suitably qualified independent reviewers. Neither authors nor reviewers know one another's identity.

Editorial Decision
The editors decide to accept, request minor revision, request major revision, ask for resubmission for review, or reject the manuscript.

Revision
Where revisions are required, authors submit a revised manuscript together with a point-by-point response to reviewers. Further review may be requested.
The publication process
Peer review ends with the editorial decision. Accepted manuscripts then proceed through the journal’s production process:
- Copy-editing
- Proofreading
- Author proof approval
- Online publication
